REGINA – The Aboriginal Peoples’ Commission of the Liberal Party of Canada is proud to announce that Marcel Isnana has been elected as the newest Indigenous candidate to join #TeamTrudeau!

Marcel is proud of his First Nation ancestry and is from the Standing Buffalo First Nation and brings extensive experience in Education, Sports, and connecting with communities in urban and rural Saskatchewan.

“Marcel has been involved with the Liberal party of Canada for a few years now” explains Reina Sinclair, president of the APC in Saskatchewan. “He has been very active in local events where you can always find him working with the community. Marcel has been involved with the riding since his father the late Mel Isnana carried the Liberal party banner proudly in 2000. He is dedicated, intelligent and compassionate and will bring those values to the House of Commons as the next Member of Parliament for the constituents of Regina-Qu’appelle and Saskatchewan”.

Kevin Seesequasis, the APC National Co-Chair added: “There are so many Indigenous individuals across the country who are attracted the Hope and Hard Work message of the Liberal Party and our positive approach. The original nation-to-nation relationship that was envisaged by Treaty is not being realized and we need people in Canada’s parliament who will represent our values. We are excited to work with Marcel in this endeavour!”

The Aboriginal Peoples’ Commission congratulates Marcel on his nomination as the official candidate for Regina Qu’Appelle and is proud to welcome him to #TeamTrudeau!
