Call for Nomination: APC (Yukon) President

WHITEHORSE – As interest in the Liberal Party of Canada continues to grow across the country, the need for the Aboriginal Peoples’ Commission (APC) to ensure fair, accurate representation in every province and territory becomes paramount.

The Aboriginal Peoples’ Commission is proud to announce the re-establishment of the Commission in Yukon and we’re seeking a qualified individual to lead it.

The APC is calling for nominations for individuals to serve as President of the Aboriginal Peoples’ Commission (Yukon) and to bring the unique concerns of Yukon Indigenous populations to the forefront.

The qualified individual must:

  • Be an Inuit, Metis or FN’s person residing in Yukon
  • Be hardworking & self-motivated
  • Be able to commit a minimum of 4 hours per week

Individuals wishing to be considered must submit a resume and cover letter to APC.Liberal@gmail.com by no later than November 29th, 2012 attention: Cherish Clarke, Co-Chair, Aboriginal Peoples’ Commission.

The Aboriginal Peoples’ Commission represents and promotes the interests of Aboriginal members of the Liberal Party and encourages the active and equitable participation of Aboriginal people at all levels of the Party structure.
